Miguel Rodriguez is the Director of HR Program Management for DoorDash. He previously held positions at DoorDash of; Head of HR Operations and Director of People Technology and Operations. Miguel has over 16 years experience in the tech field where he has successfully implemented various HR solutions ranging from workforce management to employee voice surveys. His career path has spanned positions at Gap, Inc., Apple, Inc. and Pandora Media, Inc.
Born in Puerto Rico, to a first generation immigrant mother from Mexico and his Puerto Rican father, the Rodriguez family moved to California in 1969 and Miguel has called California home since then. Miguel is a car enthusiast, lover of food and drink and his dog, Magoo.

A systems thinker first, Nikole works to drive transformational change within the organizations she serves. Currently acting as Senior Talent Designer at Airbnb, Nikole and her team use Human Centered design to build Airbnb’s contribution to the Future of Work. Her aim is to help employees grow by creating and scaling innovative L&D offerings for individuals, teams, and leaders. She approaches every program with particular attention to Diversity & Belonging as well as Sustainable Performance & Well-Being, two major areas of focus for the modern organization. Nikole also maintains a small private practice as a therapist, specializing in workplace stress and emotional regulation.

Belinda Bowling is the Social Impact Director of technology investment giant Naspers, and the co-founder of Naspers Labs, a disruptive 21st century solution to South Africa’s youth unemployment crisis. More of a brindle than a pure-bred, her career started with a foray into the private sector in law and investment banking, followed by 15 years in international development in Asia and Africa, working for the UN, nonprofits and social businesses. Shelley Osborne is Head of L&D at Udemy. She has 14 years of experience in the education sector and in corporate learning and development. Previously, she was VP of Learning & Development at Farside HR Solutions, specializing in talent leadership, management training, and soft skills development for startups. At Udemy, Shelley leads and executes the learning strategy for Udemy employees. She has a master’s degree in Education from the University of Calgary and a bachelor of education from the University of Alberta.
VP of Marketing
Yvonne Chen brings 12+ years of product and marketing experience to Udemy for Business as VP of Marketing. She cares deeply about spurring online learning and development for an organization’s most important asset – it’s employees. Previously, Yvonne worked at Facebook, leading training and development and product marketing for Facebook’s ads and business products. She has also held operations roles at Google and managed a business call center for AT&T. Darren Shimkus has nearly two decades of experience building and growing high-performing sales, marketing, and product management teams. Darren began his career in corporate education at the Corporate Executive Board (CEB) in Washington D.C. and London and has built and grown several technology companies, where he served in various product development, sales, and general management roles. Where is the People Innovators Summit?
The People Innovators Summit will take place at Terra Gallery and Event Venue in the SoMa district of San Francisco. The address is 511 Harrison St, San Francisco, CA 94105.
Where should I stay?
While there is not a People Innovators Summit special room block, we recommend 2 hotels within walking distance of the venue: Courtyard by Marriott San Francisco Downtown and the Palace Hotel San Francisco. We are happy to make additional recommendations in the city, just drop us an email!
What is the conference schedule?
The People Innovators Summit will take place on Thursday, October 17, 2019. We’ll kick things off with breakfast at 8 AM, followed by a jam-packed day of speakers, sessions and networking. Content will wrap at 4 PM, followed by a reception at the Terra Gallery.
What does the ticket price include?
The ticket price includes your admission to the conference and the party, plus breakfast, lunch, coffee and snacks and heavy hors d'oeuvres and cocktails at the party!
Does registration include travel?
No. All travel costs – including airfare, transportation and hotel accommodations – are the responsibility of the attendee.
Is there a group discount?
Absolutely! And we welcome teams. You’re eligible for a group discount if you register three or more people from your company. Email us for more details.
What’s the cancellation policy?
Cancellations received on or before September 19, 2019 will receive a full refund. Cancellations received after September 20, 2019 will result in forfeiture of your entire ticket fee.
