She was immediately (and remains) fascinated by the pace of change in this area of her work. She has always been passionate about the human side of learning- how it brings people together, and shifts change to chance for individuals, teams, and organizations.
Head of Learning Operations
Max is the Head of Learning Operations and Supplier Management within BT Group. He has a purview across the organisation delivering learning programmes worldwide and managing the central connections to the many learning suppliers. While at BT he has delivered the learning programme for BT for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and learning programmes to the NHS under the BT Health programme. Prior to joining BT Max was the EMEA director for learning and development at Symantec and Project and Partner manager for Learning with IBM.

Angela McKenna is Senior Vice President of Global Talent Development at Salesforce, which Great Place to Work has named the #1 “World’s Best Workplace” for the past two years. Angela leads the company’s Global Talent Development team. In this role, she is responsible for creating the systems, conditions and inspiration that enable professional development and growth for all. Angela’s mission is to create a more human workplace where each individual employee is empowered to bring their authentic self to work every day. Angela started her career at Salesforce as Director of Learning and Development for EMEA. Previously, she worked in customer training, employee learning, and instructional design for various global companies.

Tim Munden has been Chief Learning Officer of Unilever since May 2016, responsible for learning and development for Unilever globally, and also responsible for Wellbeing. Tim focuses on building the leaders and teams needed for a purpose driven business, developing the skills and capabilities for a digital and disrupted world, and enabling people in Unilever to have the wellbeing needed for happiness and high performance. Tim joined Unilever in 1993 as a graduate trainee. His assignments have taken him to the Netherlands, Belgium, the US and around the UK. Before becoming Chief Learning Officer, he was Vice President of HR for Unilever UK & Ireland, one of the largest businesses in the Unilever global organisation.
Head of Community & Engagement - CIO Office
Mark is the Head of Community & Engagement within the CIO Office at adidas. He has been with adidas for almost 10 years holding roles in Public Relations and Brand Marketing where he worked on campaigns for adidas Rugby, Tennis and the Olympic Games in Rio 2016. Interested in learning more and contribute to the Digital Transformation within adidas, Mark joined the CIO Office in 2018 where he leads Community & Engagement.

Thibaut is Head of Learning for the Akkademy, the Leadership University of AKKA Group. In this role, he is responsible for delivering improved learning experiences, tools and services in a blended approach, to new joiners (mostly juniors). Key focused for Thibaut are soft skills development for populations, as well as technical skills flexibility in a in a highly competitive European engineering market: key word is and will be agility for these new joiners! Prior to joining AKKA Group and the Akkademy, Thibaut has been working for Microsoft for several years in different positions, including Head of Training for retail activities on Windows, Office and Surface ranges of products.

As Head of People Development and EVP of HR at Rabobank, Marc focuses on aligning talent development initiatives with business strategic outcomes. He harnesses the power of forward-thinking technology to develop innovative solutions that transform people and organizations. Prior to Rabobank, Marc led global learning and talent initiatives at Booking.com.
Senior Talent and Leadership Development Manager
Kim Edwards is a senior talent and leadership development manager at Getty Images. Passionate about inspiring and supporting people, she enjoys helping employees discover their strengths and talents, and how they can fulfil their potential. Key focuses for Kim this year are managing Getty Images’ global onboarding programme and designing new experiential leadership development programs. In her spare time, she’s a netball and yoga fan, foodie, and travel enthusiast.
VP of Learning
Shelley Osborne is Head of L&D at Udemy. She has 14 years of experience in the education sector and in corporate learning and development. Previously, she was VP of Learning & Development at Farside HR Solutions, specializing in talent leadership, management training, and soft skills development for startups. At Udemy, Shelley leads and executes the learning strategy for Udemy employees. She has a master’s degree in Education from the University of Calgary and a bachelor of education from the University of Alberta.
Bill O’Shea brings more than two decades of experience working in the technology industry to Udemy for Business. In this time, he saw first hand the need for continuous learning and skill development. Bill currently serves as Managing Director for the EMEA region at Udemy for Business. Before joining Udemy, Bill served as Sales Director of EMEA at Qualtrics and helped drive significant growth of its SaaS offering. Prior to Qualtrics, Bill worked at Dell in numerous leadership roles in Sales, Marketing and Operations, including Executive Sales Director and GM for Dell’s UK Commercial Channel.
Social Impact Director
Belinda Bowling is the Social Impact Director of technology investment giant Naspers, and the co-founder of Naspers Labs, a disruptive 21st century solution to South Africa’s youth unemployment crisis. More of a brindle than a pure-bred, her career started with a foray into the private sector in law and investment banking, followed by 15 years in international development in Asia and Africa, working for the UN, nonprofits and social businesses. One of only 3 foreign woman ever to be awarded a Presidential Medal by the Government of Afghanistan (where she worked for 7 years), Belinda’s academic background is law, and she holds a BA LLB LLM.
VP of Marketing
Yvonne Chen brings 12+ years of product and marketing experience to Udemy for Business as VP of Marketing. She cares deeply about spurring online learning and development for an organization’s most important asset – it’s employees. Previously, Yvonne worked at Facebook, leading training and development and product marketing for Facebook’s ads and business products. She has also held operations roles at Google and managed a business call center for AT&T. Yvonne holds a BS in Business Administration from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Darren Shimkus has nearly two decades of experience building and growing high-performing sales, marketing, and product management teams. Darren currently serves as President of Udemy for Business at Udemy. Darren began his career in corporate education at the Corporate Executive Board (CEB) in Washington D.C. and London and has built and grown several technology companies, where he served in various product development, sales, and general management roles. He received his BA from William & Mary and his MBA from Stanford University.

Where is the People Innovators Summit Europe?
The People Innovators Summit Europe will take place at The Brewery in Central London. The address is 52 Chiswell St, London EC1Y 4SD, UK.
Where should I stay?
While there is not a People Innovators Summit Europe special room block, we recommend 2 nearby hotels: Montcalm (on-site at The Brewery) and The Moorgate (9 minute walk to The Brewery). We are happy to make additional recommendations in the city, just drop us an email.
What is the conference schedule?
The Summit will take place on Wednesday 13 November, 2019. We’ll kick things off with breakfast at 8 AM, followed by a jam-packed day of speakers, sessions and networking. Content will wrap at 4 PM, followed by a reception at The Brewery.
What does the ticket price include?
The ticket price includes your admission to the conference, plus breakfast, lunch, coffee and snacks and heavy hors d'oeuvres and cocktails at the reception.
Does registration include travel?
No. All travel costs – including airfare, transportation and hotel accommodations – are the responsibility of the attendee.
Is there a group discount?
Absolutely! And we welcome teams. You’re eligible for a group discount if you register three or more people from your company. Email us for more details.
What’s the cancellation policy?
Cancellations received on or before 16 October 2019 will receive a full refund. Cancellations received after 17 October 2019 will result in forfeiture of your entire ticket fee.
