The demand for cybersecurity professionals is increasing as technology continues to advance, and cyber criminals become more sophisticated. On top of that, there’s currently a talent shortage for cybersecurity experts. In a recent study, 95% of global cybersecurity professionals said the skills shortage and its associated impacts have not improved over the past few years, while 44% said it has only gotten worse.
The good news is organizations can upskill their IT teams on cybersecurity best practices quickly if they know where to start. In fact, many already have, according to data from Udemy’s 2023 Workplace Learning Trends Report.
