Founded in 2012 in Pasching, Austria, Tractive is specialized in the development of pet tech, wearables and apps. In addition to their GPS trackers and the Tractive GPS app, the company uses its extensive pet data and expertise to come up with ways to delight its users and make the world a better place for cats and dogs.

A large percentage of their workforce would like more training opportunities

When Tractive, an Austria-based tech company that produces GPS trackers for dogs and cats, surveyed their employees, they discovered that a large percentage of their workforce would like more training opportunities. Tractive’s People Operations team went on a mission to find a platform that would give their employees access to a wide-range of technical and soft-skills courses on-demand and available anywhere.

Almost a year later, 91% of Tractive employees are active users of Udemy Business, and they spend nearly two hours a week on the platform. Across all teams, courses relating to increasing productivity, management and communication are the most in demand. In addition, each team has access to technical courses tailored to their own specialization. “The individual learning paths in particular were a decisive factor for us. This way, we can support all employees in their career as well as their personal development,” explains Marlene Kampelmüller, Head of Human Resources.

A personal learning path is then created for each employee, with courses in which they are interested and which are relevant for their personal and professional development.

To ensure that the right courses are available quickly and easily for everyone, Udemy Business is also part of the company’s annual feedback meetings.
