Sleek homepage redesign
We’re updating our look to make it more intuitive to navigate to the right courses and surface more content to drive learning at your company.
Navigation Bar: We’ve redesigned the Navigation Bar so that it’s easily accessible at the top of the page. Your company’s custom categories are located first in the list and categories and subcategories are broken out to clearly showcase topic coverage.
Continue Learning: We’ve expanded the number of courses shown for the learner to continue learning so employees can easily pick up where they’ve left off. By showcasing more than the last course that hasn’t been completed, it will remind employees of the courses they need to take or content they may have forgotten about.
Personal and relevant recommendations
Smart Recommendations: With Smart Recommendations, we are bringing personalized and compelling learning recommendations to each individual. The data powering these course recommendations take into account the personal learning behaviors of your employees, and also that of the 24 million learners using Udemy. Not only will Smart Recommendations drive more learning engagement, but they will also help your employees expand their learning journeys and help them navigate through constantly changing skills. Improved Browse: In addition, we’ve made improvements to the browsing experience to help your employees find the right content faster. We now surface categories, subcategories, and related topics so that learners can explore more content at a deeper level.
Powerful admin functionality
We know how critical managing learning is and our goal is to build tools that enable Admins to drive more engaged and impactful learning within their organization. We’ve added intuitive controls so that learning professionals can easily bring the right content to their employees. We’ve also made some changes to the Manage Course page so that Admins can quickly find their Imported and Custom Courses.
Manage courses: We’ve redesigned the Manage Courses page so that you can easily locate and manage your Imported and Custom Courses. For Imported Courses, you can now see the number of enrollments, licenses remaining, and even buy more licenses for that course. For Custom Courses, you can approve or deny new custom courses and see enrollment data as well.
Actions menu: This new Actions Menu enables Admins to assign courses, share content to Slack*, add the course to a custom category and even see the course insights directly from course cards, the continue learning unit and within the course landing page. This update significantly improves the course assignment feature – making it more convenient for you to recommend the right content to your employees. The Actions Menu will be available throughout the product, therefore admins no longer need to go to “Manage Courses” to assign courses.
Add a message: We understand how important context is when sharing a course with employees – that’s why you can now add messages when you assign a course to an employee. You can give background, instructions, or even encouragement to employees as you recommend a course to them – increasing engagement and visibility into employee learning journeys.
